- Voice Typing. I mostly use Dragon Dictate. It's not a complete solution, mostly because it is still error prone and really demands privacy... which is sometimes hard to find.
- Returning to the 20th Century. I can write somewhat legibly with my right hand, since most of the inflammation is in my left. Problem: Best only for first drafts (or even version 0.5). Sometimes is a bridge to voice typing.
- Android handwriting apps. Still learning. The one that I've tried doesn't take much to fill a page.
- Typing on my Nexus 7 with a stylus. This really does seem to help. It's slower than 2 handed old fashioned typing but really does seem to keep the inflammation down.
All are slower than typing with a keyboard, which is why I still sometimes type anyway. The real solution appears to be a mix of strategies, and a willingness to know when to back off.
